  Begraven	DEATH OF MRS. JOHN PATER Mrs. John Pater died at her home in Rock Valley Friday morning, Feb. 27 after an illness of several weeks. The deceased was born in Barneveld, Netherlands, May 18, 1855 and was at the time of her death 59 years, 7 months and 9 days old. The greater part of her life was spent in her native land, Holland. With her family she came to this country in December 1901, coming directly to Sioux county where she had lived continuously until death claimed her. The deceased was a good Christian woman and was well thought of in this vicinity, and her death was a great shock to her relatives and friends. She leaves to mourn five sons and four daughters all living in this vicinity, and four brothers and two sisters in the Netherlands. Funeral services were held from the Christian Reformed church Monday afternoon conducted by Rev. Holwerda, pastor of this church.
