Marvella May Thiesse was born March 20, 1937, near Rushmore, MN to Harold and Frances (Pater) Thiesse. She graduated from Little Rock (Iowa) High School in 1954 and married Gerald Henrichs on May 26, 1954 at Ellsworth, MN. They lived in San Diego, CA and Agat, Guam while he served in the U.S. Navy. They farmed near Willow Lake, SD for four years, live in Madison for five years, and moved to Ramona in 1965. They owned and operated a feed business for 20 years and a café for five years. They divorced in 1986.

Marvella began working for the U.S. Postal Service in 1992 and became Postmaster of Winfred in 1994. She later served as Postmaster in Montrose and Ramona.

Marvella was secretary-treasurer of Ramona Industrial Development Corp., a member of various saddle clubs and National Postmasters of the U.S.

Survivors include one daughter, Ravon Sue Henrichs of Pueblo, CO; two sons, LD (Jeannie) Henrichs of Ramona and Danny (Cindy) Henrichs of Avondale, CO; four grandchildren, Carly Wettlaufer, Tyler Henrichs, Zachary and Jacquelyn Henrichs; one sister, Joycelyn Kale of Arizona City, AZ; and one brother, Howard Thiesse of Mobridge, SD. Marvella was preceded in death by her parents.

Francis was the first child of this family, born in the USA. She married Harold Thiesse who was a farmer in the Little Rock, Iowa area. After the death of her husband she moved to South Dakota to be with her children. She was a homemaker on the farm and helped with all the chores of farm work.
I remember Francis as a very hard working and thrifty woman. We were always welcome at the farm which was only about 20 miles from where I lived and many times I went hunting with her son.

Franciscus was het eerste kind van deze familie, dat in de VS werd geboren. Zij trouwde met Harold Thiesse die een boer was in de omgeving van Little Rock, Iowa. Ik herinner me Francis als een zeer hardwerkende en spaarzame vrouw. We waren altijd welkom op de boerderij op slechts ongeveer 20 mijl van waar ik woonde. Ik (John C.Pater) ging vaak jagen met haar zoon.
